The National League of American Pen Women member show is on exhibit at Bailey Hall at Broward College, 3501 SW Davie Road, Davie Florida. Mary Belle will be showing five of her portraits of women painted on porcelain.The theme of the show is Celebrating women in the Arts. Her porcelain painting of “The Queen” won best in the show last year in this prestigious exhibit.

Entirely Entertaining is one of the major funding raising events at Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. Mary Belle has been on the silent auction committee and reservation committee for several years. She has donated her jewelry and artwork to this worthy event for many years. Thirty local decorators are selected to decorate their tables with spectacular table designs which include their own porcelain, silver, and fresh flowers. This event is considered one of the outstanding events of the season and Mary Belle is privileged to be a part of it.

Mary Belle donated a porcelain painting of Koi Fish, value $1,000 to the Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Center of Fort Lauderdale. Their pediatric outpatient facility provides medical care, case management, social services and other types of intervention to children and adolescents with chronic illnesses and developmental disabilities and provides support and education to their families.
Her artwork was reproduced on note cards and calendars to be used to support this worthy cause.


This year was the first year the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens hosted the Festival of Trees.The beautiful historic home and gardens were filled with holiday decorations. Mary Belle donated a Victorian Christmas tree that was displayed in this beautiful setting. Her tree was decorated with 100 hand painted porcelain ornaments. Each ornament was painted with china paints, fused glass, and 14K gold. The tree was auctioned off and found a wonderful home in Fort Lauderdale.
MaryBelle Cordell was one of the eight artists who were selected as one of south Florida’s top rising artists. A graduate of the Artist as Entrepreneur Institute she has applied business skills that were learned to create her own vehicle for artistic success. Mary Belle was part of an all-media art exhibit highlighting new work from these talented entrepreneurs. Her installation of twenty ten inch plates painted with 18th Century flowers was part of the exhibit. Her video of the process of painting the porcelain plates over a year long period was shown during the exhibit. The DBA Chrysalis a Time of Change exhibit was held at ArtServe, 1350 Sunrise Blvd Fort Lauderdale ,Fl.
