Mary Belle Cordell was the guest artist at the Boca Museum on March 21, 2015.  The Wolgin Gallery at the museum was the site of the porcelain display and program.

Mary Belle presented seven of her women series of paintings and also her latest porcelain painting of 18th-century Hollyhocks.

Included in her presentation were instructions on how to mix and use china paints.

Duane Smith, Adult and Community Program Director at the museum, organized this wonderful afternoon of learning about the fine art of painting on porcelain.

Lynn Cancer Institute Wall of Hope by Mary Belle Cordell

Mary Belle Cordell will be working with the staff of the Boca Museum th Art School to make the painting of the ceramic tiles by patients and families of the Lyn Cancer Institute a success.  Each year several hndred survivors and patients paint beautiful tiles.  The painted tiles are then delivered to the Boca Museum Art school and they are glazed and fired in a kiln.  The tiles are then cemented on the wall of the entrance to the Lynn Cancer Institute.

Mary Belle finds this yearly project very rewarding.
