Porcelain artist Mary Belle Cordell's porcelain paintings showcase an array of subjects from still life, to nature and portraits. What is important to her is her love of china painting and how it relates to others.

 

Mary Belle is also fascinated by the shadows and lights which are produced by painting layers of oil-based china paints and then fired many times in a kiln at 1400 degrees.

 

She is inspired by the natural beauty around her and the collage of people who become subjects for her porcelain paintings.

 

A native of Pennsylvania and now a new resident of Marietta, Georgia she is once again reinventing herself and looking forward to new and challenging projects.
